The opening of the NextEnergy Center in Detroit, Mich. marked the culmination of intense effort by countless people who turned a few words spoken by the state's political leadership earlier this decade into the practical reality of NextEnergy.

Located at the center of Detroit's TechTown, NextEnergy is creating a world center of excellence for education, research, development and manufacturing that will position both Detroit and Michigan as the focal point of the emerging alternative energy industry. NextEnergy's partners and research tenants operating in the facility's accelerator laboratories will help shape this future.
